Rach came to visit the end of July 2007 after we got back from the states.. She spent the first few days here on island experiencing our stomping grounds and getting a taste of Okinawan culture and the essence of military life. Ironically, her first day here we got rear ended on a major road on base. No one was injured and the car was driveable, so we continued on with our travel plans as if nothing had happened. We were so thrilled to have a visitor! Then, we flew up to Tokyo for a few days. Ben had to stay behind to work. We went to Tokyo Disney, rode numerous subways and trains, visited Ueno Park, Meiji Shrine, the Harajuku District, the National Museum of Japan, Shinjuku station, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Building, just to name a few. We even met up with an old friend from Glenwood, Ryan Neil. We had a ton of fun!
