August 2006 we ventured to mainland Japan to climb Mt. Fuji with our good friends Liz and Jared. We flew to Tokyo and rented a van to drive to the mountain. We arrived at Fuji at 10pm and tried to sleep in the van. We woke up at 4am and started our ascent. We completed the climb in about 8 hours and headed back. Once back we slept for thirteen hours and woke up sore. We then hit the streets of Tokyo for some sightseeing.
