Immediately after leaving Okinawa we went to Kyoto for four days. We really liked Kyoto because it was what we consider the "real" Japan. There are thousands of shrines and temples and the Gion district, where Geishas still entertain. We were lucky enough to be there for one of the largest festivals of the year. After seeing the sights, we took the bullet train to Tokyo to catch our flight to Hawaii.
