In May of 2008, we had the unique priviledge of attending a Japanese wedding, which included a traditional Shinto ceremony for our friends Chris and Iku. It was quite an affair! Iku wore two different kimonos and a western-style wedding gown throughout the night. Many Navy (I think we were the only Air Force attendees) guests attended, as well as Okinawan locals. The Okinawan guests gave a sort of variety show entertainment after we ate. The kids were especially cute during their segment. The whole day was great experience we will never forget.
